The Camtec HPV models are highly precise lab power supplies "Made in Germany". These power supplies are designed for power supply systems in the industrial use. Camtec Power supplies have been producing high-end switched-mode power supplies in Germany for over 25 years. A field failure of less than 0.004% over a period of 10 years confirms our demanding quality concept. Each manufactured Camtec product goes through 100% tests for each detail function and a full-load burn-in test. Although not required by the safety standards, our production carries out a routine safety test on each manufactured device, even if it is a low-voltage model. The components in the mounted device undergo a load aging to achieve a uniform level and to prevent delayed failures. Our internal guidelines for product development set a clear goal: The reputation of Camtec products must be "install & forget". Quality is never a mere promise for our team. The design of the HPV series meets demanding applications such as complex drives, piezo print heads, test stands and professional mechanical engineering. The power supply offers low noise, precise load control and a high efficiency of up to 93%. High-quality long life capacitors ensure an extended bridging time and an extraordinary life of the power supply. The circuit design is designed for complex loads. The internal control circuit prevents problematic operating states, in order to protect your system from damage. The HPV series provides active protection against high input transients with suppressor diodes, X2 capacitors and varistors. All inputs, outputs and function connections are electrically isolated. The design specifications are designed for enhanced noise immunity and safety. The device is homogenized with the safety standards EN61010-1, EN61010-2-201, EN62368-1, EN60950-1 and EMC compatibility to EN55022. The device is protected against permanent short circuit (Ticker mode) with an automatic restart. The HPV has internal temperature monitoring, which protects the equipment from overload. As soon as the temperature falls to the normal value, the power unit automatically restarts (auto start). The starting behavior is controlled in all cases and an uncontrolled and excessive overshoot of the output voltage is never performed. A special heat dissipation design enables heat coupling via a base plate, if the customer wishes. A baseplate holder is available as an accessory. Of course, the devices also work independently without this base plate. The baseplate therefore has no influence on the derating behavior of the devices mentioned in the data sheet. - Camtec
