The PCAN-GPS Pro FD is a configurable sensor module for determining the position, position and acceleration. It possesses a magnetic field sensor, an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope and a satellite receiver, which enables update rates of up to 25 Hz. The sensor data is transferred via CAN or CAN FD. The connection to the CAN bus is designed with two connected LEMO circular connectors for integration in measuring chains. With its robust casing, the module can also be used under adverse conditions.
The device parameters, acquisition of sensor data and CAN message transmission of the PCAN-GPS Pro FD can be configured using the included Windows software via the USB connection. The module then runs as an independent CAN node.
