Description

This car radio connection is an ISO adapter cable, which was specially developed for the connection of retrofitting radios to the factory-made cable harness of Opel vehicles. It connects the radio's power and lighting cables to terminals 15 (ignition) and 58 (lighting) of the vehicle. Through this the radio comes on with the ignition and can be dimmed or lit via the dashboard lighting. Installation is done by plugging the Adapter into the available ISO sockets or the ends of the original cable harness. The pins must be aligned to the vehicle wiring to ensure correct signal paths. Typically, the adapter is used for audio upgrades in passenger cars if the original wiring and dashboard functionality are to be maintained. The adapter allows a permanent electrical connection without permanent changes to the vehicle harness.
