Description
Round long 370°C, 0.8 mm for TCPS, TCP 12, TCP 24, TCP 42 and FE 50M, width A: 0.8 mm. The Magnastat system works with a permanent magnet and a ferromagnetic temperature sensor. If the soldering tip is cold, the permanent magnet is attracted by the ferromagnetic temperature sensor. In this state the switch is closed and the heating is switched on. When the temperature sensor approaches its low curie point, i.e. the selected peak temperature, its magnetic behavior will change and the heating will be switched off. If the tip cools down a little, the temperature sensor retracts and the control circuit starts again. The working temperature is selected by simply changing the soldering tip with the temperature sensor attached to it. Weller longlife soldering tips cover temperature ranges 260°, 310°C, 370°C, 425°C and 480°C. The WTCP 51 is not suitable for ESD-safe applications, because the soldering iron is not anti-static.
