Description
CI Plus module for receiving encrypted stations. Can only be used together with a Kabel Deutschland cable connection* and a CI Plus enabled television or receiver with DVB-C tuner.
The serial number for Kabel Deutschland is contained on the module. This number can be used to access programme packages from Kabel Deutschland* and Sky* (subscription required, resulting in additional costs).
Note! The module must be activated by Kabel Deutschland before it will function with your existing SmartCard.CI Plus: is an advanced development of CI standard. The CI Plus interface is required to use CI Plus module for cable network operators or other Pay TV providers. The modules can be encrypted either independently or together with a Smart Card encrypted channels. At the same time, the CI Plus interface is compatible with old Common Interface (CI) and can even include this module. With new CI Plus interface, it is possible to impose restrictions on broadcasters for the recording of program. In doing so, the encrypted signal is scrambled on the screen.
