Description

The M-DISC is an extremely durable and reliable storage medium that enables permanent data archiving. The M-DISC is the only disc to have passed the strict tests of the US Department of Defense for long-term archiving.

Thanks to the patented, stone-like material, the data is literally engraved into the recording layer. Due to this physical change of the medium, the stored contents can be archived for up to 1000 years.

The inorganic layer also ensures that no special precautions have to be taken during storage as there is no influence by temperatures, humidity or sunlight.

M-DISC BD-R XL Media can be written and read with all Blu-ray BD-XL recorders.
