Professional and well proven, the tick loop is a simple and effective solution to remove ticks from humans and animals. The fine loop is put around the tick and tightened slightly, then the pin is turned slowly and the parasite is out.
The turning is much faster and safer, because the barbs on the sucking trunk of the tick loosen more easily. Thus the tick is not unnecessarily irritated or squeezed and the transmission of diseases is minimized.

Information

How it works:
1. Push the loop forward and place it around the tick, as close to the skin as possible, with the tip of the pen right next to the tick lightly pressed into the skin.
2. Release the button and point the pen upwards.
3. Smooth slow rotation of the pen and lift the tick away. Clean the wound. Pick up the tick to enable a test for e.g. Borrelia.

Important: Always unscrew the tick!
The barbs on the proboscis and sucking trunk (hypostome), which are used to hold the tick, are the easiest to release when turning. Most ticks rip off when pulled.
