Fitted with a SATA III 6Gb/s interface and a very compact design, Transcend's MTS400S M.2 SSD is best suited for small applications that offer very limited space but still require high performance. This makes it ideal for modern ultrabooks as well as slim and lightweight notebooks. With a powerful controller, a SATA III 6Gb/s interface and above-average transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s for reading and 460MB/s for writing, the M.2 SSD handles both daily routine tasks and demanding multimedia applications.


Supports Intel Smart Response Technology.
Transcends SATA III 6Gb/s MTS400S M.2 SSD supports Intel® Smart Response Technology (ISRT), allowing the SSD to be used as cache memory between the HDD and the system memory. This has the advantage of using the maximum capacity of the HDD while maintaining the experience of the system performance of an SSD.


ISRT monitors the most used programs and documents and stores them on the SSD. This speeds up application loading and significantly improves system response time, while all other data and programs are stored on the HDD. Only one drive letter is displayed in this configuration. So the cache SSD has no drive letter of its own.
