Description

Good news for all HiFi fans ! The new, improved HiFiBerry Amp2 amplifier is here !
With the Amp2 HiFiBerry now offers the long-awaited successor of the popular HiFiBerry Amp+. The circuit board is now black and also inside was improved a lot.
So the new amplifier now comes with full 60 watts of power and was able to gain in comparison to its predecessor with two 25 watt outputs a full 10 watts of power. The Amp2 also delivers more power to the Raspberry Pi than its predecessor.
This not only makes it possible to continue using the Pi and Amp with a single power supply, but also to connect other devices such as displays or USB memory without worrying about low power.
This new amplifier board also offers a 192KHz/24bit maximum sampling rate, making it ideal for HD audio.
The Amp2 is designed to ideally support 4-8 ohm speakers. This makes it ideal for use with the Raspberry Pi to drive any passive loudspeaker.
But that still doesn't stop the improvements. The Amp2 now has an increased voltage range from 19 to 24 volts. Even larger power supplies with 19-20 volts can be used without problems to fill rooms with music with the Amp2.
