Unique, compact, easy to use
The Fluke PRV240FS Proving Unit is a portable, pocket-sized battery-powered power source. The Fluke PRV240FS Proving Unit provides a simple and safe way to verify the proper functioning of an electrical instrument, for example, when no known voltage source is available, before testing live or dead current sources with the instrument without personal protective equipment. Irrespective of this, depending on the operating conditions, minimal personal protective equipment may still be required when using the Proving Unit, e.g. safety glasses or earplugs.
Using the PRV240FS reduces the risk of electric shock and arcing by eliminating the need to expose yourself to potentially hazardous environmental electrical conditions when checking the functionality of a meter before checking if voltage is present.
Additional test function for the Fluke T6 electric tester with fork current sensor.
Generates stable AC and DC voltages up to 240 V.
An LED indicates the functionality. This makes PRV240FS an easy-to-use solution that meets the TBT (Test before Touch) requirements for testing instrumentation prior to use.
The instrument is suitable for testing multimeters, current clamps and voltage testers with high or low input impedance.
The voltage is available at recessed contacts that are not activated until the instrument under test is connected. This prevents accidental contact with live contacts.
Magnets included.
Long service life - up to 5000 tests with a set of four AA batteries.
