The Teensy 3.2 development board is equipped with a 32 bit ARM Cortex microprocessor, which can also be used for compute-intensive applications, and comes with a bootloader in Flash RAM. You can program it directly via the USB port. No external programming device is required.
You can program the Teensy in your favorite program editor in C or install the Teensyduino addon for the Arduino™ IDE and write Arduino™ sketches for the Teensy. The Teensy's processor is also capable of accessing the USB interface and emulating any USB devices. This makes it ideal for USB-MIDI and other HID projects. The 32-bit processor offers a number of other possibilities, such as multiple DMA channels, various high-resolution A/D converters and even a digital I2S audio interface. Furthermore there are four separate timers and one delay timer. All connections are interruptible.
The Teensy provides a system voltage of 3.3 V at up to 250 mA for other devices. The Teensy 3.2 accepts 5 V at the digital inputs. At the purely analog inputs 3.3 V.
