Description

The insulation resistance measuring instruments of the MIT400/2 series offer the user a wide range of applications. They are particularly suitable for power utilities that have to find faults in places that are particularly difficult to access, such as cable ducts, wind turbines or switch cabinets. However, they are also ideal for use in engine testing, in the automotive industry and in the aerospace industry.
The insulation measurement is feedback-controlled, i.e. the test voltage is fed back to the device, checked and returned to the measuring point. This optimizes the test voltage and limits the overvoltage to 2 %. This is far better than the industry standard, which allows between 1 and 20 %. The test voltage can vary steplessly between 10 V and 1,000 V.
An auto range function that is very convenient for the user automatically adjusts the correct display range to the measured value between 0.01 MΩ and 1.0 Ω MIT420/2 is very handy and also offers the user a robust IP54 housing, a fixed, fold-out stand that holds the instrument securely in an upright position, a battery compartment for six batteries and separate access to the internal fuses.
