Description
The power supply from Self Electronics has a compact design and was specially developed for modern LED lighting applications in the indoor area. The power supply unit is connected via integrated terminal blocks. The VL-E types from Self are suitable for mounting on materials with unknown flammability properties (MM symbol) and can also be used as independent control gear outside luminaires. With a stand-by power consumption of less than 0.3 watts and a start-up time of less than 500ms, the LED power supplies meet the current oködesign specifications. In addition, they comply with the relevant EMC and safety standards, are VDE-certified and have an operating expectancy of up to 50,000 hours, based on a maximum enclosure temperature of 80°C. Their output is SELV compliant, the power supplies provide protection against open circuit, short circuit, overload and overheating and a 5 year warranty. After a cause of error has been rectified, an automatic restart is performed.

Caution!
Make sure you pick an LED driver/transformer that comes with the appropriate power rating.
Choose a driver/transformer that supplies approx. 30 pecent more watttage, as the current consumption (i.e. amperage) of the LEDs is key, and not the power rating of the LED provided by the LED manufacturer.
Keep in mind that the switch-on surge tend to be much higher.
