Integrated turnout control
Integrated turnout control
The reversing loop module KSM-4 adjusts the polarity within the reversing loop depending on the position of the turnout in such a way that no short circuit can occur when passing over the separation point. Transition areas with integrated track occupancy detectors are arranged between the points and the inside of the reversing loop ("sensor tracks"). As soon as a train moves out of the reversing loop into one of the two transition areas, the turnout is switched for exit and the polarity within the reversing loop is adjusted.
The turnout must be connected to the KSM-4 and is automatically switched for exit of the train from the reversing loop. The KSM-4 has two switching inputs for the connection of a push-button (or a comparable circuit), so that the crossover can be set from the outside. Thus, a direction of travel within the reversing loop can be specified before entering the vehicle.
Max. Current of all vehicles within the reversing loop: 3 A - Switches with double coil drive or motorized switches. Both turnout types can be connected directly. - Max. Switching current of the turnout: 1 A.
