Description

The LD400 is a low-cost electronic load for the testing and characterization of a variety of direct current sources.
It can be used to set the behavior of many different types of power sources such as batteries and solar cells as well as electronic power supply units to investigate.
Its wide voltage/current range, multiple operating modes and a built-in test generator give it the versatility for test solutions from the design laboratory through to the component test area.

Characteristics

Low minimum input voltage
The LD400 may, at voltages below 500 mV for currents up to 10 Ampere. At higher currents increases the fixed minimum resistance (typically better than 25 mW) gradually increase the minimum operating voltage, but he remains below 1 Volt up to 40 Ampere and below 2 volts up to 80 Ampere.
This low operating voltage makes it possible for many low-voltage applications to be used for the other electronic loads are unsuitable.

Constant current mode

Constant resistance mode
The constant resistance mode simulates a standard resistance load by providing a current flow, which is proportional to the voltage. The settings are in ohms or milli-ohm.
In contrast to fixed resistors and rheostaten offers the load a precisely controllable resistance with high power loss and high temperature stability over a wide frequency range.
