Overview

The Arduino Motor Shield allows you to drive your Arduino, DC and stepper motors, relays and magnets.

Description

The Arduino Motor Shield is based on the L298, a dual full-bridge driver for driving inductive loads such as relays, magnets, DC and stepper motors. With it you can drive two DC motors with your Arduino board and control the speed and direction of each individual independantly of each other. Among other things, you can also measure the motor current consumption of each motor. The label is TinkerKit compatible, was this means you can quickly create projects by inserting TinkerKit modules on the board.
