Description
The Club 3D CAC-1080 is a DisplayPort™ 1.4 to HDMI™ 2.0b active signal converter. It supports HDR video quality for the playback of Deep Color media content. The DisplayPort™ receiver supports up to 5.4 Gbps per track over 4 tracks. The HDMI™ output is fully compatible with the HDMI™ specification version 2.0b. The CAC-1080 is backward compatible with previous DisplayPort™ and HDMI™ versions, but this can affect functionality and/or supported features such as HDR.
Resolution support
The CAC-1080 supports UHD resolutions up to 4096 x 2160p at 60Hz.
Color formats
It supports RGB / YCbCr video formats with a color depth of 16 BPC (or 48 bits per pixel) as long as it fits in the DisplayPort™ and HDMI™ tape bandwidth. The CAC-1080 also supports pixel encoding of RGB or YCbCr4:4:4 in YCbCr 4:2:0 and YCbCr 4:2:0 pass-through functions. In addition, HDR with Deep Color up to 12 bpc with 4K 60Hz is supported by the conversion of RGB /YCbCr 4:4:4 via DisplayPort™ Link to YCbCr 4:2:0 at HDMI™ output with a horizontal extension to CEA timings.
Note: For HDR to work, the source system must support DisplayPort™ 1.4 and the screen must support HDR and/or HDMI™ 2.0 a or b.
