The ROG Thor 850W Platinum is a power supply for enthusiasts, who attach importance to a high-quality optics and perfect performance. Our first power supply is packed with innovative ideas, including Aura Sync RGB lighting, an integrated OLED information panel, a dust-proof wing blade fan and a large heat sink, which enables silent 0dB operation at higher power consumption compared to conventional designs. In addition, proven, long-life components such as Japanese capacitors are used to obtain certification for 80 PLUS®Platinum efficiency.
ASUS Aura Sync
ASUS Aura Sync is the lighting system that lets you synchronize light effects between your gaming PC, components and peripherals. The ROG Thor 850W Platinum features built-in Aura RGB addressable LEDs and is perfect for becoming a part of your individual PC.
OLED power display
The ROG Thor 850W Platinum is the world's first PC power supply with an integrated OLED panel, on which the power consumption is displayed in real time. Now you can see at a glance how much power your system uses.
Wing blade fan
ASUS has equipped the ROG Thor 850W Platinum with a patented, 135mm large Wing-Blade fan, in order to maximize the life span of the components. The IP5X dust protection ensures smooth operation. The 0dB technology uses sensors to completely shut down the fan at low power consumption – the power supply then works completely silently.
Rog heat sink
The integrated ROG heat sinks have more volume than conventional designs 2x and thus provide for a 20% lower temperature in the casing of the ROG Thor 850W Platinum. This extends the life of the components and enables 0dB operation far beyond the point where the fans must start up in standard designs.
80 Plus Platinum Certification
The ROG Thor 850W Platinum uses Japanese high-end capacitors to ensure efficient operation. In this way, the power supply has been awarded an 80 PLUS Platinum certification, which guarantees an efficiency of 89% at 100% load and 92% at 50% load. The increased efficiency produces less heat, reduces fan noise and increases reliability.
Sheathed cable
ASUS knows you want to start building your system right away, so it comes with both high-quality shrouded and standard cables. The sheathed cables include a 24-pin cable, two 6+2-pin PCI-e cables and two 8-pin CPU cables. In addition, Asus has integrated an RGB connection, which is connected to the addressable RGB plug on your ASUS motherboard.
