With the extremely high resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels of Ultra HD/4K content and the associated large amounts of data, the requirements for signal transmission are also increasing. Especially when long distances need to be overcome, even high-quality cables are no longer sufficient to transmit the AV signals to a TV or projector without error artifacts. In this case, the investment in a repeater is worthwhile. This is a compact adapter, which amplifies the digital signals from the player, e.g. an Ultra HD Blu-ray player, a modern gaming console or a powerful computer, to the image playback device. The Oehlbach UHD repeater is simply plugged between the two cables, and two 24-carat gold-plated HDMI 2.0 interfaces are available for this purpose. The only 27 g adapter comes in an aluminum extruded cast housing in cobalt blue and is thus excellently shielded. A blue functional light diode is also integrated, the power is supplied via the connected player. The Oehlbach UHD repeater supports 4K/Ultra HD signals with up to 60 frames per second with full YUV 4:4:4 color resolution. Cable lengths of up to 25 meters can be realized in combination with high-quality cables (e.g. Oehlbach XXL Carb 15m + 10m or Oehlbach Black Magic 10 m + 5 m).
