Description
Conrad has the extended XLG-series of LED switching power supply of mean well into its product program, which are based on a design with constant power and constant voltage. The power supply are new versions with 100 W. in addition to the L/H version for constant current or constant power applications there are also a 12 V and 24 V version for constant voltage applications. These models are suitable for use in indoor and outdoor lighting projects including waterproof Light strips and advertising light box. The Execution Type L is designed for a full load operation from 700 to 1050 mA. Type H for the full power operation is based on a 56V output and offers different driver currents for various performance recordings. This type is suitable for COB LEDs with forward voltage of less than 56 V, as well as SMD LEDs, especially for lights, which require a compliance with the SELV small 60V. All models of the XLG series reach a high surge protection of up to a maximum of 10 kV (LN-PE)/6 kV (L-N), EN61547 and EN61000-4-5 compliant and suitable for any kind of outdoor lighting. Your input overvoltage protection (IOVP) is specially designed for unstable ac power sources and reduces the failure rate of the lights again. Caution!
Make sure you pick an LED driver/transformer that comes with the appropriate power rating. Choose a driver/transformer that supplies approx. 30 pecent more watttage, as the current consumption (i.e. amperage) of the LEDs is key, and not the power rating of the LED provided by the LED manufacturer. Keep in mind that the switch-on surge tend to be much higher.
