Description
The Sparkfun XA1110 GPS Breakout is a small I2C-supported module that is easy to connect thanks to our Qwiic Connect system. Equipped with the XA1110 GPS module from GTOP, this card uses the MediaTek MT3333 chipset, loaded with special SparkFun firmware, which enables both I2C and serial interfaces simultaneously. Using I2C means you don't have to connect your serial port to the GPS and leave it open for other possibilities.
This GPS breakout supports up to 210 PRN channels with 99 search channels and 33 simultaneous tracking channels. With the support of GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, SBAS and more, the integrated XA1110 can make even more precise position determinations in different places. In addition, the XA1110 GPS Breakout is equipped with an integrated RTC battery, which enables a warm-start functionality, so that the X1 requires only five seconds for the first fixation, as well as with a U.FL connection, which offers you the possibility to connect an external antenna via a U.FL cable.
