Description
The Sparkfun XBee Explorer Regulated handles the 3.3V control, signal conditioning and basic activity indicators (power, RSSI and DIN/DOUT activity LEDs). It translates the 5V serial signals into 3.3V so that you can connect a 5V (up to 3.3V) system to each XBee module. The board was designed in such a way that it is directly compatible with the boards of the Sparkfun Arduino Pro series for wireless bootloading and USB-based configuration.
This device works with all XBee modules, including Series 1 and Series 2, Standard and Pro versions. Connect an XBee to this outbreak and you have direct access to the serial and programming pins of the XBee unit and can operate the XBee with 5V.
This board is fully equipped with 3.3V regulator (5V max. input), XBee socket, four status LEDs and level shift. In the latest version, the diode level shifter is replaced by a more robust MOSFET level shifter. This board does not include the XBee module. XBee modules sold below.
