With the HVGC-1000, MEAN WELL offers the first 1000 Watt LED constant power supply, which meets the growing requirements for analogueue and Dali dimming functions and also has an intelligent timer dimming, as required for applications of LED special lamps. The constant power output enables users to adjust the output current in the full power range according to the application conditions. This allows the areas of application to be maximized and optimized. THE Mean WELL HVGC-1000 series has a metal housing that is encapsulated with a thermally conductive epoxy resin. Thus it is dust- and waterproof and achieves the protection level IP67. Through the wide-range input from 180 to 528VAC, it can be operated via two phases without neutral conductor. Thanks to a high efficiency of up to 96%, the power supply has a fanless design, is deheated exclusively by convection cooling and has an operating temperature range of -40 to +90°C.

Make sure you pick an LED driver/transformer that comes with the appropriate power rating.
Choose a driver/transformer that supplies approx. 30 pecent more watttage, as the current consumption (i.e. amperage) of the LEDs is key, and not the power rating of the LED provided by the LED manufacturer.
Keep in mind that the switch-on surge tend to be much higher.
