The Industrial Counter Bricklet can be used to extend bricks by four independant frequency counters.
The Bricklet has an integrated edge counter that can measure the duty cycle, period and frequency separately per channel. Frequencies up to 4MHz can be processed by the Bricklet.
The frequency counter can count rising, falling and both edge changes. The direction of the counter (up or down) can be set. It is also possible to use one channel as a direction input for another counter (e.g. high = counts up, low = counts down).
All 4 channels are galavanically separated from each other.
Example applications for the Bricklet are the reading out of a PWM signal or the reading out of sensors that have an edge counter or a frequency output.
The Industrial Counter Bricklet has a 7-pin Bricklet connector and is connected with a 7p-10p Bricklet cable with a brick.
