Description

Google's AIY Voice Kit lets you create your own natural voice processor and connect it to Google Assistant or Cloud Speech-to-Text service to ask questions and issue voice commands to your programs. All this fits into a handy little cardboard cube powered by a Raspberry Pi. Everything you need was included in the kit, including the Raspberry Pi.

What was in the AIY Voice Kit v2?
• Voice Bonnet
• Raspberry Pi Zero WH
• 3” Loudspeaker (cable connected)
• microSD card
• Arcade-style push button
• Button nut (plastic)
• 6-wire cable
• Plastic spacer
• microUSB cable
• External cardboard casing
• Internal cardboard frame
still required items (not included!)
• Raspberry Pi
• Power Supply (optional) MiniHDMI Cable to HDMI
• (optional) Raspberry Pi Keyboard & Mouse
• (optional) This

kit lets you build your own speech recognition system using Google Assistant or add voice recognition and speech processing to your Raspberry Pi project!
The kit contains all the necessary components except for the power supply - even a case for folding it yourself out of cardboard!
An interface to the Google Assistant SDK (aiy.assistant) is built into the kit or Python API, but it is also easy to use Google's Cloud Speech-to-Text (aiy.cloud speech), or the Python API for your own language interfaces.

The AIY Voice Bonnet also offers the following additional functions:
• Control of four additional GPIO pins (this allows Pi GPIO pins to be used for other purposes)
• PWM support for servo/motor control, without having to load the CPU of the Pis
• Analogueue input via integrated ADC (analogueue-to-digital converter)
• Control of two LEDs on the Bonnet

the AIY project page gives some examples of how to use the advanced features of the Voice Bonnet.
