Foldio Starter set for Calliope mini
The Foldio starter set with Calliope mini enables children to learn the conscious and critical handling of computer systems at an early stage and gives them a playful introduction to the world of programming.

In our detailed and illustrated instructions about Finn, the Foldio Fuchs and Raja, the Foldio Elch, you will find various exciting stories with corresponding missions, which will guide children gradually to elementary concepts of computer science. The children can learn and deepen the learning contents independantly and in a playful way.

This box helps children learn:
- how the digital world can merge with the physical world
- that they themselves can participate in the design of the digital world
- the basics of the Calliope mini computer board
- a first introduction to programming
- How programming languages are structured (EVA principle)

The Calliope mini is a microcontroller used as a teaching tool in the school education of children from the third grade, usually under the supervision of adults.
The Calliope mini shows that all can code - and with a lot of fun. The entry is easy, so that children, teachers and parents can start without any prior knowledge. From the first self-programd flashing via self-propelled robots to wireless communicating Calliope mini-swarms: With a few clicks, on a connected computer, own programs can be designed for the microprocessor, which bring the Calliope mini to life.

Information

The Calliope mini is a teaching tool that is mainly used under the supervision of adults in school. The Calliope mini has been tested positively on the basis of the product safety standard EN60950-1 or EN62368-1.

Please note the following information:
The USB connection may only be connected to a computer. When not in use, always disconnect from the computer. The Calliope mini should never be operated simultaneously with USB and battery! When the mini is connected to the computer, the battery holder must not be connected to the mini or the battery holder must be switched off (switch to "off")! In battery operation, the Calliope mini may only be operated with batteries of type AAA or LR03 (battery compartment). The voltage applied to the Calliope mini must never exceed 3.3 volts.
When not in use, always switch off the battery holder ("off"), when using battery holders without on/off switch, please remove the batteries and separate the battery holder from the mini. The external motor support may only be operated with a 9V battery (or 6LR61).
Operation with accumulators is not permitted. In operation, only touch the outer ends and the buttons. Small parts must be kept away from small children.

connection - 15 mA maximum load (all
connections together) - 100 mA maximum when
connecting to edge contacts (+/-), supply of max. 3.3V -
when connecting an LED, please use a resistor with at least 220Ω.
