The Smart sensor is part of the modern and especially flexible world of the GARDENA Smart system. The intelligent sensor delivers important and current measurement data from the garden. Together with the Smart gateway required for operation and the free GARDENA Smart APP, an intelligent GARDENA Smart irrigation control based on the measured soil moisture supplies plants with water only when it is really necessary. This saves water through the prevention of unnecessary irrigation processes. Due to its compact design, the Smart sensor can not only be used on a lawn or in flower beds, but also optionally in plant buckets or flower boxes on the balcony or the terrace. The large sensor area measures the soil moisture precisely in different depths and qualities of the earth. The use on a lawn does not interfere with the robotic lawnmower or lawn mower, because the head section of the sensor is particularly flat. For the flexible and wireless operation via radio 2 AA-batteries, which permit the safe and continuous use over a complete garden season.
