The KAS series offers an AC wide-range input and has 2 or 4 watt power. The power supply modules have a flame-retardant plastic casing (UL 94V-0) and are best equipped against shock and vibration. The power supplies are designed as protection class II devices for operation without protective grounding and can thus be used as auxiliary voltage supply, e.g. in intelligent networks (smart grid) or in household devices (prepared for approval according to EN60335-1). The KAS2 starts even at -40°C and also comes out at 80°C (70°C KAS4) ambient temperature without additional ventilation; the full nominal load is available at temperatures between -40°C and +60°C (+50°C for 4 W models). The idle power consumption is below 0.3 W and thus corresponds to the eco-design guideline.
