The VARIOSAND PCB assembly kit is ideal for beginners, for beginners, for aspiring electronics enthusiasts, hobbyists and anyone who enjoys working with a soldering iron or soldering station. More than 60 components are soldered to the "VARIOSAND" board, including a programd microprocessor. Once the board is completely built up, a great programmable hourglass has been created.
The special feature is that each time a different time ("sand quantity" available for 1 - 109 minutes) can be selected. FOR EXAMPLE, use the scroll wheel to set VARIOSAND to 5 minutes for a soft boiled egg or 10 minutes for a hard boiled egg. After the end of the time, the "sand" has been optically dribbled from top to bottom, the beeper sounds and tells you: Egg is ready!
This intelligent hourglass is powered by a power bank or directly on a USB port, such as a mobile phone charger. This eliminates the cost-intensive use of an extra battery.
