In a springform, the side wall can be loosened using a clamping lever: The ring opens and you can remove the bottom of the mold and re-clamp it. Unlike other baking forms, the ready-made cake from the springform is not toppled. Instead, release the clamping lever – the cake comes off completely by itself thanks to the non-stick coating – and lift the ring away from the top.
