Debugging adapter for finding and analyzing errors in microcontroller softwareIdeal for examining codes for the Raspberry Pi pico using the RP2040 microcontroller
A complete debug hardware solution for arm-based microcontrollers operated by RP2040. With a USB-to-serial two-wire debug bridge and a USB-to-UART bridge, the debug probe facilitates the use of devices such as the Raspberry Pi pico with a range of host platforms such as PC, Mac and typical Linux computers.A complete kit for easy plug-and-play debuggingThe Raspberry Pi Debug Probe is a complete USB-to-debug kit that provides all the necessary hardware and cables for simple, solder-free plug-and-play debugging. It has both a serial debug interface for the processor (the arm serial wire debug interface is standard, but other interfaces can be supported) and an industry standard UART interface. Both interfaces use the 3-pin debug port of the Raspberry Pi as described in the Raspberry Pi 3-pin debug connector specification. The Raspberry Pi Debug Probe is a kit that contains the debug probe hardware in a separate plastic housing along with a USB cable and three types of debug cables that cover the vast majority of debug applications. It is designed to facilitate debugging and programming of Raspberry Pi pico and RP2040 with a range of host platforms, including Windows, Mac, and typical Linux computers that do not have a GPIO header to connect directly to the pico serial UART or SWD port.Although designed for use with Raspberry Pi products, the Debug Probe provides standard UART and CMSIS DAP interfaces via USB, so it can also be used to debug arm-based microcontrollers that offer a 3V3-I/O SWD port, or even as a USB-to-UART cable. It works with OpenOCD and other tools that support CMSIS-DAP.The Debug Probe is based on the Raspberry Pi Pico hardware and runs the open-source software Raspberry Pi Picoprobe. The firmware is updated in the same way as the Raspberry Pi Pico firmware, so it is easy to keep the device up to date with the latest firmware or to use your own firmware.
