The Raspberry Pi Active Cooler provides an alternative cooling solution for users wanting to use their Raspberry Pi 5 without having to housing under persistent strong stress.
The active cooler combines a large metal heat sink with a high-quality, speed-controlled fan that is supplied and controlled via the fan connection of the Raspberry Pi 5 and is fixed on the board via spring-loaded pins in the mounting holes provided for this purpose.
As the heat of the Pi 5-CPU spreads over the heat sink and the cooling fins, the fan pressures cool air over it to keep your Raspberry Pi 5 running at optimum thermal temperatures. The cooler uses heat conduction pads to create a solid thermal connection with the Raspberry Pi 5.
The fan is software-controlled so that it remains off (and thus quiet) until the temperature reaches the set threshold value.
