Chassis and Chassis highlights
The TRX-4 features a heavy-duty steel frame that gives the chassis stability. The rigidity improves driving behavior on rough terrain. In combination with the sophisticated wheel suspension, you can easily master even technically demanding terrain.
The shape of the robust lower floor, together with the wings integrated in the body, prevents the penetration of dirt and gravel.
Cable guides in the interior of the vehicle ensure clean cabling and a proper appearance.
The oil-filled GTS aluminum shock absorbers were developed especially for the TRX-4. They ensure smooth driving in the harshest off-road conditions.
The 5 mm thick steel tie rods as well as reinforced plastic pans with integrated steel hollow balls will never fail on the terrain due to broken suspension.
Portal axes and ground clearance
The TRX-4 achieves more ground clearance than other vehicles through its innovative portal axles. The wheels are positioned lower at the extreme point due to a gear reduction.
Remotely controllable functions
The terrain genius has remote controllable locking differentials. You can lock the front and rear axles via lever on your remote control. The transmission ratio can also be controlled remotely (short or long-term), depending on the surface on which the Defender is moving straight.
Accuhouder
The Dual fit battery holder guarantees an easy change of the batteries without split pins, which could be lost in the area. The fixing lever that can be folded out can be adjusted to two different heights by turning it. A recess integrated in the battery compartment enables the fixing of smaller rechargeable batteries.
Electronics and control systems
TSM – Traxxas stability management
This innovative steering assistance simplifies the control of the vehicle on slippery and uneven roads and corrects the line. The strength of the TSM can be controlled continuously via the multi-function button of the TQi remote control.
TQi 4-Channel Remote Control
With the advanced ready-to-race remote control, you don't need to set any channels or frequencies. The ergonomic design is very attractive. The automatic model selection recognizes up to 30 models. Fine adjustments can be made with the multi-function button.
Waterproof electronics and titanium 550 motor
The Titan 550 is the largest engine for Crawler Monster Trucks. The waterproof XL-5 HV controller offers 5 driving profiles (including 2 new profiles especially for crawlers). The sealed electronic parts allow you to drive through water, mud and snow for unlimited driving fun. The exclusively patented training mode limits the performance to 50% and is Ideal for young drivers or beginners.

The separately available Traxxas Link Wireless Module turns your smartphone (Android®, iPad®, iPhone® or iPod Touch®) into a tuning tool for your Traxxas model.
