Product Functionalities
The TL-SG1005P includes five 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, four of which have PoE, and requires no configuration or software installation. The device automatically detects and feeds connected PoE terminals. This ensures both data transfer and power supply via a single cable. This significantly facilitates network expansion.
Power over Ethernet
Four of the five ports of this switch support Power over Ethernet. The device automatically detects and connects terminals connected via PoE.
overload protection
The TL-SG1005P has a priority circuit that protects the system from overload. If the total power consumption of the PoE terminals exceeds 56W, the lowest priority devices are switched off.
Port priority function
Port Priority (Port 1>Port 2>Port 3>Port 4): This useful feature protects the system from overload damage. If the requested power exceeds 56W, port 4 is switched off. Example: Ports 1, 2 and 4 use 15.4W each (this is the maximum possible power per port). The total power is 46.2W. If port 3 with 10W is still used, port 4 is switched off by the priority function. This means that port 1 and port 2 are now supplied with 15.4W each and port 3 with 10W, port 4 does not give any performance.
