The table-top weather station is a touchable open source weather station. It measures temperature, air humidity, air pressure and air quality index (Air Quality Index) with high precision. The base kit is based on:
· Master brick,
· Air Quality Bricklet
· LCD 128x64 Bricklet
· 2x BrickletCABLE 15cm (7p-10p)
· 3x mounting kit 12mm and
· Mini USB cable 180cm and
· Casing for table weather station.
It can be controlled via USB from a (embedded) PC. It can also be controlled via Wi-Fi via the WIFI extension. Alternatively, the weather station can also be integrated into the local network using an Ethernet extension. A RED Brick or other embedded board, such as the Raspberry Pi, can be used for stand-alone operation.
The kit allows you to design both software and hardware according to your own wishes. The housing is made of easy-to-use PMMA and is easy to work with. In addition, there are already drill holes for further bricklets.
The weather station can be programd via all available bindings (C/C++, C#, Delphi/Lazarus, Java, JavaScript, LabVIEW, Mathematica, MATLAB/Octave, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Shell, Visual Basic .NET). Simple example implementations for many programming languages are available. A demo application implements control via touch, trend view via graph, logging in a database, etc. It is written in Python and available for Windows, Linux and MacOS.
The kit can be extended with the Outdoor Weather Bricklet. Mounting holes and an opening for the antenna are already provided in the housing. With the Bricklet, the following wireless outdoor weather stations and sensors can be read:
