Description

It starts to rain and the awning above the terrace is still extended? With the reliable rain sensor from HomeMatic IP no problem. It detects starting rain and even snow directly via the integrated sensor surface and ensures, for example, that the awning is retracted.

RELIABLE AND ACCURATE SENSOR
The large, sensitive sensor surface registers even the smallest amounts of rain and snow. The HomeMatic IP app keeps the user in view. This allows quick response to weather changes (e.g. to close windows and doors).

AWNINGS TAXES
When it starts to rain, this information is quickly transmitted to trained actuators. For example, the awning can be retracted in conjunction with a HomeMatic IP shutter actuator.

FUNCTIONAL AT ALL TEMPERATURES
The integrated sensor heating ensures that the sensor surface dries immediately. This prevents functional limitations or incorrect resolution due to dew or ice. Thanks to the large temperature range and the water-protected housing, it can also be used under extreme conditions from -20 to +55 °C. Due to the integrated sensor heating and the operation via an external power supply (not included in the delivery), the rain sensor is particularly low in maintenance.

ADAPTS TO THE MOUNTING LOCATION
The supplied mounting brackets (with and without inclination) enable the use in different positions - completely according to the individual conditions. To achieve the full range of functions, installation at a 45-degree angle is recommended.

INDIVIDUAL TRIGGERING BEHAVIOR
The trigger sensitivity can be individually set via the app. For example, Incorrect switching is avoided.

Information

The rain sensor is powered by a separate power supply (not included). The basic requirements for this power supply are: Safety extra-low voltage (SELV), voltage: 10-19 VDC (min. 320 mA) or 12 VAC/50 Hz (min. 400 mA)
